City of Avondale
When constructed, this complex was the largest indoor court facility in Arizona. There are six volleyball courts, four basketball courts, and two soccer fields. Catering, banquet, training, and retail functions are also accommodated. The 113,000 SF facility is a unique state-of-the-art public/private project providing Avondale a year-round location for tournaments, leagues, clinics, and special event activities.
H2 provided constructability and document reviews for both phases of the project. These quality control efforts resulted in over 500 comments for the Phase 1-Infrastructure and Phase 2-Building plans which minimized schedule delays and cost overruns.
H2 also conducted an analysis of the GMP for the City of Avondale. This analysis assisted the city with obtaining over 12.5% reduction in construction cost.
