Balsz School District
Taking inspiration from one of our nation’s most notable heroes, the Pat Tillman Middle School is named after the decorated American hero. The community school provides over 70,000 SF of new and renovated space. Comprised of 42 classrooms, a STEM learning flex space, two new laboratories, and administrative offices the innovative school also received significant energy efficiency upgrades.
In addition to traditional academic curriculum, students in sixth through eighth grades have opportunities with cutting-edge programs in Elite Sports Training, STEM (coding, rocketry, and robotics), and Digital Arts (video production, multimedia design, and computer graphics).
H2 provided full project management services during design and construction of the project including full-time on-site representation. Our staff provided significant value for the school district including cost reduction recommendations resulting in an overall savings of $1,278,000. One suggested idea related to project phasing to eliminate temporary modular building leasing realized nearly $1M which otherwise would have provided only an expensive short-term solution.
